GoldenEar's Triton Three Makes the List!

ULTRA audio / Soundstage!XTREME: What I’d Buy: Loudspeakers Under $15,000, by Jeff Fritz (June 1, 2013).

GoldenEar Technology TRITON THREE: For a couple of grand, you get a lot of speaker in the Triton Three ($1998.98/pr U.S.). The ribbon tweeter is very refined, while the powered 5” x 9” bass driver provides deep, controlled bass the likes of which you’ll find hard to match at the price. This is a complete package that will work for home theater as well as stereo -- the Triton Three will easily output large amounts of sound. If, like so many of us, you want -- no, need -- full-range sound, the Triton Three is a great step up from (a good) bookshelf design.

Triton Two a TAS 2013 Editors' Choice

The GoldenEar Triton Two is an Editors' Choice winner from The Absolute Sound Magazine, saying "The Triton Two handles high frequencies via a superb Heil-type tweeter, the all-important middle frequencies via dual ultra-wide-bandwidth midrange drivers, and the low end with a sophisticated 1200-watt DSP-controlled subwoofer. Together these elements give you a slender. full-range floorstander that sounds astonishingly refined, and offers robust dynamics and spectacular 3D imaging". Hi Fi Choice's Jason Kennedy, one of England's most critical reviewers, concludes his review of the Aon 3 bookshelf speakers in the February 2013 Issue of HiFi Choice with "... this unusual standmount is hugely entertaining, revealing and excellent value for the money" and gives them the coveted HiFi Choice Recommended Award!

He raves about the tweeter, "whose finesse at high frequencies brings great smoothness to the treble" and notes, "you start to appreciate just how coarse many domes can be by comparison". He also loves "... the Aon 3s exceptional imaging capabilities" and, "the way that sound creates depth and space is made very clear and in an entirely natural sounding fashion ... I began to enjoy the texture it reveals across the band, something that gives depth to voices that is very enticing". Pick up the issue today to read the full review!

GoldenEar wins TWO Home Theater Magazine 2012 Top Picks of the Year! The Triton Three wins in the Speakers category and the 3D Array wins in the Soundbar category, saying: "This kind of transparency and imaging is just hard to come by at any cost, but with its attractive $999 price tag, the Triton Three easily stood out as one of our Top Picks of the Year among speakers." and "GoldenEar tapped into some recent Princeton University research on 3D audio to create the SuperCinema 3D Array, which uses crosstalk cancellation technology to project an exceptionally wide and deep soundstage. Coupled with the company’s superb-sounding folded-motion tweeter, it’s a staggering combo that performed equally well on movies and music."

GoldenEar's 3D Array Soundbar wins Sound & Vision 2012 Editor's Choice Award, saying "it was the system’s ability to switch easily between the worlds of movies and music that clinched the deal, leaving (the reviewer) to wonder if he should 'even bother using separate tower speakers' any longer."
