More like 50 views and nobody cares...

The best answer is they are obviously made of magic, how else could one explain the sound quality?

The correct answer is the cabinet structure is made of High Density Fibreboard.

Not exactly the rude response I would expect from someone at GoldenEar...

Especially when you want me to pony-up $8500 - and I ask a question.

The best answer is they are obviously made of magic, how else could one explain the sound quality?

I kind of gathered that...

Is it then covered with a veneer? And then painted black and then hand rubbed with an overcoat?

Or just hand rubbed with a poly/black over the HDF?

Oh c'mon, sense of humor much?

No veneer, the surface of the HDF is totally paintable. Multi coat and hand rubbed finish with polyester top coat..
