Purchased two SuperSat 50s, a SuperSat 50C and a ForceField 4 for a 3.1 system for the living room connected to a Yamaha RX-V871 from Costco (great sale). TV and speakers on stand approximately one foot away from the wall. The sound is outstanding

Only difficulty was setting up ForceField 4 with Yamaha’s YPAO. Subwoofer placement is restricted to the left near the speaker because of large open entry to dining room/ kitchen on right and a doorway further down on the left. Was careful to put lowpass crossover to max (150) on back of ForceField 4 and started level at half and kept moving level down because YPAO erred out (greater than 10 db adjustment to subwoofer). ForceField 4 ended at one-fourth (third mark) and YPAO showing -5 db. . Used all eight YPAO multi-measurements and made two adjustments, lowered crossover from 120 to 100 and raised center channel 5 db to enhance voices.

Very pleased with system and am reading up on bass management to better understand the subwoofer setting.

Thanks! That all sounds about right:: ForceField sub input sensitivity is quite high to allow for a wide range of products, not unusual to have it at 1/4 or less. Crossover to 100Hz is perfect for an off-center sub placement.

The 5dB increase in the center sounds like a lot, make sure the center is angled at the listener's ear-level. Could also be due to the YPAO mike placement though, so if that sounds right just go with it. Enjoy the system!

Thank's for the feedback. Yes, the center speaker was not aimed correctly. Reran YPAO , listened for several days , then adjusted center to +1 for my older ears. The stereo left and right speakers remain at 0 and sound fantasric.

Added two SuperSat 3 surrounds and now have a Supercinema 50 5.1 set up. The sound is outstanding and I only regret waiting this long for the surrounds
