Hi. New to the forum and was wondering if I could get anyone's opinion on wall and ceiling speakers. I am putting in an atmos 7.1.4 system. The room is 14ft wide X 21 ft long.
This is the package that I have set up:
Integra DRX 4.3 with New Classic 275 v.2 two channel amplifier.
Triton 5 for the front left and right
Super Center XXL for the center
Supersub X for the subwoofer
Invisa 600 for the side, back and ceiling surround speakers.

Are the Invisa 600 speakers good for this application or would it be worth it to bump up to the Invisa 525 or 650 for any or all of the surround speakers.

Any advice on this is much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, JR

Welcome to the forum! I haven’t heard the 600’s with their dome tweeters. I’ll bet the tonal matching with the other GEt speakers with HVFR tweeters is well done, as it seems Goldenear always does with all it’s speakers.

I don’t know what your budget considerations are, but I would venture the 600’s are pretty darn good and well matched, but not quite in the same sweet spot as say 650’s.

I defer to Moderator Dude’s opinion, but if you have the budget room, I’d lean toward the 650’s.

Either way, you’re heading for some some great listening!

Have fun with your project!

Rick

Hi JR,

The 600 speakers sound quite good, but the 650 is definitely better and well worth the price differential. If you went with the 525, you get the HVFR tweeter but the smaller driver won't have the low end of the 600 or 650. Note that we make optional square grilles for these models which make them look better when mounted in walls.

If you can swing it for both placement and cost, the MPX would be even better than the 525/600/650 ideal for your side and rear surrounds. The MPX's splayed drivers really fill in the sides and rear surround fields.

If the ceiling surrounds you mention are for Atmos, the 650 will be great in that role.

Hope this helps - sounds like a terrific system you're putting together!

Thanks so much guys. I appreciate the help. I was able to switch the side and rear surrounds to the MDX. I had to keep the 600s for the atmos ceiling but will probably switch those out next year for the 650s --- When I buy the 650s next year, I'll just relocate the 600s to another room. Thanks again for everything.
