Great data, Anthem. I think the new T2+ will be approximately $3,500. I would put the first or second gen T2s against anything Polk puts out. There is always the possibility of picking up a set of T2s for cheap right now as well since the dealers are making room for the T2+. In either case, the T2s are definitely the sweet spot! At least that's where Anthem and I stand.

Cheers,

T Cobe

First off, thanks again for all the reply and suggestions. Getting other people's input is always helpful to get steered in the right direction. Here's the situation:

LSi M707 $2K
LSi 706C $600
LSiM 703 $750
Total $3,350

Three $2200
SS3 $500
SC XL $800
Total $3,500

So same price for a TOP of the line model from yes, an older, company, or a MID-tier, revolutionary company.

I do believe T Cobe has nailed it.. trust your ears. I have yet to hear ANY other speakers with the same cohesive sound envelope, the same sense of everything just playing and belonging together.

Happy listening!

Dawgman,

Just one more note. Don't worry about top of the line or mid-tier. That only matters if you're bragging about your system to others. Simply trust your ears. Do you want to listen to your system or brag about it?

Cheers,

Dawgman,

What is the size of your listening room?

I too am biased having switched from an Polk RTI series based system to a GET one, but I'm going to play a bit of devil's advocate here.

I know the LSIM speakers have historically been very power hunger speakers, almost demanding separates to make them sound their best.

As a result though, if you have the power they will probably sound quite full, especially in larger spaces.

The Triton Three Cinemas system sounds great...in smaller rooms. As an owner of a Triton Three myself, I can tell you that they are noticeably leaner sounding than their bigger brethren. Keep in mind as well that the Polk Bookshelf speakers will play lower (and probably louder) than the small SuperSat 3 satellite speaker.

If you have a smaller space (apartment/spare room), I'd recommend the GET. If you have a larger space, I'd probably recommend the Polk system.

Either way, I think you will have an enjoyable auditory experience!
