Sayersweb,
The Triton Ones must be awesome from all accounts but Anthem and I are here every day because of the Triton 2s. I would be remiss if I did not cheer for you to buy the T2s. They are a great speaker and are certainly letting me life the dream!!!!!
AND, a beast "but it is a beautiful beast" just has to be played and accommodated and has to thrill.
You can do that with the T2s, believe me!!!!!
I am totally with you about small enclosure speakers!!!! In fact the Triton towers are the only speakers that have been able to move me away from my bipolar ribbon (Apogee) speakers that I had for 20 years too. I hope you can find a way to get one of the Supercenter speakers, X, XL, or XXL. I just have the X and love it. But I know it is being fleshed out and helped by my T2s on the front.
I hope you can save up and go for it all.
God Bless,
Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

I'd be afraid that their feet would sink enough to put pressure on the radiators. They would probably sleep on top of the speaker as well.

Has anyone experience with this? Unfortunately, this may be a deal breaker for me. The SuperSats need to be crossed over quite high... which I think would greatly reduce the listening experience.

No, the cats won't hurt the speaker (best if they aren't on it while its playing though, pretty sure THAT would effect the sound).

SuperSat centers with Triton Towers work perfectly, if that's what fits, go for it.

It is interesting... I have come across many people recently that had speakers for around 20 years, that have had trouble finding replacements. Speakers were designed differently back then, not as precise or accurate, but had a big and dramatic sound that is hard to find these days. I do not listen to classical music, at least not critically, and I don't listen to jazz, folk, or any other styles where you want to hear fingers delicately articulating strings, and breathy-ness in brass and vocal, and all those other things I find talked about in reviews. I guess I'm just not a critical listener.

I want music to sound full and punchy, while being detailed but not edgy or harsh. Many current speakers seem anemic to my ears, if you listen at low volume they are detailed and perfectly accurate but there is no fullness, they leave me feeling like something is missing. I want movie soundtracks to be full and impacting without having to turn things up to uncomfortable levels. Maybe it is a dynamic range difference, I just cannot explain, articulate, or maybe even comprehend what it is that's missing.

Hopefully soon I can audition the Twos soon and see how they sound! :)

This is really great news. Yes, that would effect the sound for sure if they were lying on it! Although, when the speaker first sounding they would jump up and spend the next 10 minutes trying to figure out what was going on. So, maybe the worst that can happen is the unsupported fabric may get stretched from the cats walking on it.

I will have to give the SuperSats a critical listen. I like the concept of running the mains as large and creating the virtual center subwoofer while using the SuperSats. If this truly works then maybe that is an option. After my Mythos soundbar disappointment I am biased away from that style of speaker, but maybe that is not fair.
