Audioholics reviewers heard the Triton Reference at CES 2017 with GoldenEar founder Sandy Gross playing DJ/Ringmaster. With back to back Brian Wilson tracks, an older, Beach Boys-era preceded a more recent solo track, they thought the New Triton Reference speakers were "articulate in revealing the slightly more feeble presentation of Wilson's modern voice, spacious in their stereo presentation...They looked great in gloss black without giving up their modern, understated GoldenEar trademark look." Check out this great interview with Sandy Gross describing the goals and processes applied in designing the Triton Reference speakers.

Home Theater Review's Dennis Burger stopped by GoldenEar's CES suite for a listen to the new Triton Reference, listened and raved, "In terms of the total package-the impact and authority of its bass, combined with the depth of its soundstage and remarkable detail-I've never heard a speaker that truly bests the Triton Reference at anything approaching its price...Yes, it does deliver the sort of performance previously delivered only by cost-no-object speakers."

The GoldenEar Triton Seven tower loudspeaker has been awarded the Audioholics 2016 Product of the Year Award for Modest Priced Towers. The Audioholics Product of the Year Awards are given to those products that either represent state of the art in performance or value or both. "The GoldenEar Triton Seven is the least expensive tower in the lineup at $1,400/pair, but offers trickle-down technology from the $5,000/pair Triton One tower. They offer a remarkably spacious stereo reproduction, and smooth frequency response which is hard to beat at this price point."
As Dennis Burger observes in his recent review of the Triton Two+ for Home Theater Review, "The Triton Two+ and Triton One sound remarkably similar ... Every element of the Triton Two+ works in harmony to create a rich, nuanced, captivating landscape of audio bliss that's so beautifully balanced ... When the bass line kicks in...it's flawlessly rendered: powerful but nuanced, the sort of bass delivery that does tingly things to your tasty bits." He concludes, "It's everything I love about the Triton One-the detail, the transparency, the depth of the soundstage and the dynamics-scaled down to a size that better fits my home and my lifestyle."
Yongki Go, writing about the Triton Two+ and Triton Two+ 5.1 system for Secrets of Home Theater, raves "I was immediately impressed by the all-around performance of these speakers. The Triton Two+ speakers produce well-balanced sound across the audible frequency spectrum: awesome rich-in-detail highs and full articulate bass. The full 5 speaker surround setup delivers stereo and Home-theater performances that excel in all critical aspects of the sound ... these speakers set the performance bar very high by any standard, so high that it is almost untouchable in their price class. Moreover, credit goes to the versatile Triton Two+ with their highly dynamic sound, capable of producing full-range bass in the TritonCinema five-speaker system for an impactful yet refined home-theater surround performance. Highly recommended!"
Home Theater Review, in their annual best-of list, reports: GoldenEar has taken all of the research and development that went into the flagship Triton One speaker and updated the smaller Triton Two to deliver even better performance. What did Dennis Burger think of the new version: "I simply can't hide my enthusiasm when a speaker does pretty much exactly what I want it to do ... The Triton Two+ delivers incredible depth, palpable detail, exceptional neutrality (especially in the midrange frequencies), and rich, ample, tactile bass that's as musical as it is muscular. What more could you want?"
